Solaris 64 RS - Clear innovations!
A recent model launched in 2019, from the drawing board of Soto Acebal... The Solaris 64 RS represents a highly innovative yacht in the world of offshore performance cruising, featuring a raised saloon with 360 degree windows for unrivalled panoramic views and a central engine room (which also houses all the main services) with two beautifully placed aft cabins with a companionway thus isolated from any noise from the machinery and systems and giving a greater sense of privacy.
The innovation starts with the interior layout, which offers a large forward sail locker, which can also be specified as an optional en-suite crew cabin. A spacious owner's cabin forward, with generous storage, available with an island or an outside berth. The galley is located close to the mast and extends the full width of the boat.
The large saloon includes the offset companionway to starboard, which provides a passageway to the guest cabins and all bathrooms have separate shower compartments. In terms of size and storage space, the two guest cabins are no match for the owner's cabin forward.
The 3 metre long fore and aft tender garage with longitudinal access does not encroach on the aft cabins at all and provides large lockers with full access to the port and starboard deck, while the transom also serves as a large bathing platform.
The staggered companionway creates a spacious cockpit with a fixed table to port and a deck settee to starboard with a passageway between the two.
The cockpit's sail handling area includes a dedicated central base for the mainsheet and two side winches; the control lines are located within easy reach of the helm and the distinctive self-tacking jib makes it easy to handle.
Again, with a choice of interior finishes - light oak, teak, washed oak and aged oak, the craftsmanship, attention to detail and overall quality are as you would expect from Solaris Yachts.
