Solaris 44 - A yacht that inspires confidence

A major breakthrough in deck ergonomics in the 44' sector for Solaris Yachts, the four winch system was first developed on the Solaris 60 and has been so successful that all Solaris from 44' upwards are now fitted with this concept, with all lines below deck. The helmsman of a Solaris 44 can control the sheets, halyards and reefing lines, allowing him to steer the boat with one hand.

The hull shape is an evolution of the Solaris 55 with a soft chine at the stern and a full width deck at the transom. The maximum width at the stern is enhanced by two rudders that provide superior grip and directional stability when operated. There is a large sail locker forward and a large locker aft with top access from the cockpit for storage of the liferaft, inflatable and more.

The interior is light, spacious and pleasant to live in, and benefits from an L-shaped galley to port and a choice of interior woods - oak, teak and walnut. The interior offers a number of different configurations to suit all family and crew needs.

Particular attention has been paid to weight distribution to ensure perfect balance at sea, and the 44 shares all the same structural advantages as her bigger brothers, such as composite main and bow bulkheads, fully laminated bulkheads with no interior mouldings, longitudinal and transverse structural floor beams in E-glass and carbon fibre bonded to the hull, stainless steel mast step over the keel and full width composite chainplates.

It is only fair to say that the Solaris 44 has been a great success since its launch at Cannes 2018. Nearly thirty yachts have been built and their popularity continues to grow. A rigid yacht that is responsive at the helm, she revels in the breeze and her sure footing and seakeeping inspire confidence.
